Beanie Buddies started out as larger versions of Beanie Babies. The first nine Beanie Buddies were introduced on September 30, 1998
Peanut is one of the nine originals and was retired  February 10, 2000.
Beanie Buddies were originally made with a new material called Tylon. The Tylon is extremely soft, smooth and specifically designed to hold vibrant colors.
2nd generation swing tag: Swing tag front has a 5-point, yellow star with “BEANIE ORIGINAL BUDDY”. The “Ty Europe” address on the left inside of the swing tag has a “Gasport” address. The “Gasport” spelling is incorrect. It should be spelled, Gosport.
