Taken From “World’s Columbian Exposition: Original Etchings & Lithographs dating from 1893 to 1895.” In 1893 the Philadelphia printer and publisher, George Barrie, worked on large series of original etchings and chromolithographs showing exhibits of the fine art from countries participating in the World’s Columbian Exposition. These original etchings, were a fine examples from the world’s finest artist & etchers that Barrie could find and hired to create the etchings for the World’s Columbian Exposition and were printed on either China or Japan papers and were limited to an edition of only two hundred impressions. Barrie hired some of the finest etchers of the time to work on the series. This Limited Edition are collected for their fine workmanship.
